Volkswagen Showcases Golf R Wagon At LA Auto Show
The Los Angeles Auto Show’s first look was on November 18th, and Volkswagen is featuring Golf R Wagon with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI engine, which generates 296 hp and 280 pounds-feet of torque.
AutoNews reports that “It’s the first time the all-wheel-drive Golf R sports car will be produced as a station wagon.”
A VW spokesman said VW has no plans to sell the wagon variant in the U.S., so we won’t be seeing these on the road.

As far as price is concerned, the wagon costs more than the GTI. It’s also a little more powerful than the GTI, and rides 0.8 inches lower than the regular Golf.
