Gearing up for the VW E-Up!

E-up!

A few years ago, the public got a preview of Volkswagen’s E-Up!, a fully electric vehicle. In a recent press release from VW, that preview may finally be going into full production – and soon!

“The four-seat car – which operates with nearly zero noise – is being shown at today’s Annual Press and Investors Conference in Wolfsburg,” said the editors of a VW press release. “The new e-up! impresses with its driving range of 150 km and excellent everyday practicality.”

The E-Up! is touted as a car for daily use in urban environments as well as a great commuter car. Word on the street is that it will be able to reach distances of 150 km with ease. It can also recharge up to 80 percent of its battery in 30 minutes.

As it may seem, due to the metric measurements delivered in the press release, the E-UP! might not be showing up in North American driveways as soon as we’d like. The folks here at Bill Jacobs, however, will keep you up to speed as we learn more.
