There is word that the 2014 Volkswagen Golf GTD will be coming to the United States. According to discussions officials and executives were having with the press at the Detroit Auto Show, sales of diesel automobiles have been on the rise in America and has garnered enough enthusiasm by the company to consider offering this little gem in our country.
You can expect to see the Golf GTD to be shown along side the Golf VII GTI at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Auto Show in March. And, if you think about it, the presence of this car lines up with the new initiative in Mexico for production of VW’s bound for North and South America. One of those vehicles part of the new-found production is the Volkswagen Golf.
What can you expect from this car? You will get from 0 to 62 in around 7 seconds and you will be abe to top out at a speed of 152 mph all being enhanced by a 185 hp engine.
